Our view is that an education at Liberty Woodland School should be available to all children. Our Head and Governors are delighted to offer fully funded bursary places for families who are unable to pay the fees but wish for their child to be educated with us. Fully funded bursaries cover the entire annual cost of tuition.

Availability

Bursary places for our Primary school are now full for 2023/2024 and 2024/2025. We are not accepting any further applications.

We do have a limited number of bursary places available for our Secondary school, for 2024/2025. Both part and full bursaries are available to students wishing to join our secondary school in Year 7/8/9 to enjoy the academically rigorous and intellectually challenging, International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.

In general, bursaries are available to new and current parents for entry or continuation into a new entry point to the school. Bursary places are offered to children who would benefit from a Liberty Woodland School education but whose families are unable to afford the full fees and who have no substantial capital assets. Bursary places are offered for up to a period of 12 months at a time. At the end of each 12-month period the bursary place and the parents current financial circumstances shall be reviewed.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Qualifying Criteria for a bursary place

If you are unsure whether you are likely to be successful in securing a bursary for your child, please do review the criteria below:

  • Both parents (in a two-parent household) should usually be working full-time

  • The household income should not normally exceed £60,000 per annum

  • A full application should be submitted by the 15th January 2024, for places starting Sept 2024.

Assessing the fit for your child

  • First we ask that any parents considering applying for a bursary, book onto an open day or use the open day form to request a 1-2-1 tour, and send through a recent school report to begin the admissions process and to ensure we can meet the needs of your child.

  • We will then arrange a call with our senior leadership team and send a bursary application form to you for completion.

Bursary committee meet and award bursaries

  • Once you have been along to the open day and completed the application process, the bursary committee meet to discuss applications for the academic year.

  • Bursaries are awarded in or before April 2024.
